ELISABETTA ABRAMI WINERY

Our cellar is the result of many small and patient efforts to realize a great passion. One brick at a time we have built our cellar in the morainic hills of Provaglio d’Iseo, where our organic Franciacorta wines are born with the indomitable soul of Pinot Noir.

 

Our Organic Franciacorta wines respond to two adjectives, natural and gastronomic. Natural means making wine in the vineyard, in such a way that it contains the true essence of the territory. Gastronomic means making a wine suitable even for the most daring combinations, thanks to the structure that gives the Pinot Noir.

We have been practising organic farming since 1990, recovering a farm that had been abandoned for many years. In 1998 we switched to the biodynamic farming method and obtained the Demeter label.

We do not use fertilisers in the vineyard but only green manure and biodynamic preparations. To protect the vines from fungal diseases, we only use pure sulphur and copper in small quantities.

During the vinification process, the qualities of the grapes and soil are enhanced by practices that exclude the use of selected yeasts, without temperature control or refrigeration, with a long maceration of the grapes in an old stone cellar.

The total number of bottles of wine produced is currently around 9,000, which will grow to around 20-30,000 over the next three years. biodynamic wines
