Meet The Producer Series – Acetaia Sereni – Balsamic Vinegar Masterclass
About the event
The Art of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena – A Masterclass with Acetaia Sereni
Join us for a rare and flavor-rich journey into the world of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, guided by the one and only Francesco Sereni, renowned producer Acetaia Sereni.
Live from the hills of Modena, Francesco will connect with us via video to share the centuries-old craft behind their award-winning balsamic vinegars. From grape to barrel to bottle, you’ll gain exclusive insight into the aging process, traditions and secrets that make real balsamic vinegar one of Italy’s most prized culinary treasures.
Hosted by Sommelier Alice Massaria, this masterclass will include guided tastings of different aged balsamics—from young, vibrant condiments to the dense and syrupy extravecchio—paired with savoury and sweet bites to reveal their versatility.
About the producer
Acetaia Sereni – A Family Legacy of Balsamic Vinegar in Modena
Located in the picturesque Villabianca hills near Marano sul Panaro in Emilia-Romagna, Acetaia Sereni is a fourth-generation family producer of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena (D.O.P.) and high-quality Balsamic Vinegar I.G.P.
Founded in the early 20th century by “Nonna Santina”, the estate developed from humble home‑made batches into a respected balsamic house under Pier Luigi Sereni in the 1980s. Today, Pier Luigi and his wife Elisabetta, supported by their sons Francesco and Umberto, preside over more than 1,500 barrels crafted from prized woods like oak, cherry, chestnut, and mulberry.
